What “podcast ROI” means here

GetPodRev is built for B2B demand gen: guests and episodes should connect to pipeline outcomes your CRM already understands — meetings booked, opportunities created, and revenue influenced.

MVP tracking is intentionally manual and honest. You enter outcomes you can defend in a pipeline review. Deeper CRM sync and automated attribution are later work.

Pipeline stages as the spine

Keep each active guest on one pipeline card and move stages as reality changes (Suggested → invited/scheduled/recorded/published → relationship and opportunity stages, through follow-up).

Stale cards and stage discipline matter more than perfect cosmetics. If the board is fiction, ROI notes will be fiction too.

ROI fields to use

Capture outcomes on the guest and/or pipeline item when your process has evidence:

  • meetings_booked — sales or founder meetings that followed the guest relationship or episode
  • opportunities — qualified opportunities influenced by the guest/episode motion
  • revenue_influenced — dollar amount you are willing to claim as influenced (not necessarily closed-won attribution math)
  • Notes — short context: which episode, which champion, link to CRM opportunity ID if you have one

Dashboard and export

Use the in-app ROI view (/app/roi) to scan totals and per-guest contribution. Export CSV when you need a leadership pack or to paste into a spreadsheet.

Reconcile big numbers with your CRM before presenting externally. GetPodRev is the podcast-ops system of record for guest motion; your CRM remains the commercial system of record unless you later enable deeper sync.

A simple weekly cadence

  • After each recording or publish: update stage and add any immediate next-step notes.
  • After sales mentions a guest-sourced meeting: increment meetings_booked and link the opportunity if known.
  • Monthly: export CSV, sanity-check revenue_influenced with finance/CRM, and drop vanity metrics from the story.

Anti-patterns to avoid

  • Inflating revenue_influenced to make the show look good
  • Counting every download as pipeline
  • Leaving guests stuck in early stages after they clearly became customers or partners
  • Treating GetPodRev totals as audited financial statements
